Where is Praia Grande Torres?
Big beach is beach Brazilian from the state of Rio Great southern.
What's on Praia Grande – Torres RS
This is the beach most frequented by tourists, because it has a large sand area, kiosks on the beachfront and on the boardwalk and easy access, as it is right in the center.
Tours usually stop here. So don't be surprised when you look at the boardwalk and a sea of people with bags, backpacks and lots of good energy is arriving at the beach (it's quite common).
Particularly I think the beach is very busy and I don't like it very much, when I want calm I go to Praianha (Praia do Meio) or Molhes.
The tip is for athletes on duty, the rest that starts from Praia Grande to Molhes, gives 1.5km, so a walk or run goes down really well 🙂 and you won't get lost, because it's a straight line.
Another advantage are the kiosks crepes, ala minutas, buffets, churros and caipirinhas that are on the boardwalk, in addition to the kiosks that are on the sand that usually sell corn and fried pastry. It is a great option for those who prefer to eat something different.
Another important and fun point is that in Praia Grande is the SESC with its sand courts to practice volleyball, soccer and physical education teachers who daily invite bathers to practice dancing in the open air (a form of physical activity) I think it's great!

The view from the beach is a little different, depending on how the visibility is, enjoying the island of wolves is wonderful.

Restaurants near Praia Grande
As I had already commented, there are kiosks on the boardwalk:
- Straw hat
- Shateu
- shellfish
- German crepes
- Grandpa Gervasio's Churros
further away but with more affordable prices my tip is: Frango do Balde, FNP (with tele), in Praça XV there is Subwey, and a little further away (about 4 blocks) is Restaurante Tubarão, or the hot dog from Dog do Tio which is wonderful and they sell crepe also. Any of these, you won't regret it 🙂
Parking at Praia Grande Torres RS
Parking on the beach is a dilemma, whether on any of them, but my tip is: go to the beach early! That simple! There is no paid parking.
Usually at 8:30 am there is almost nobody and you can choose where you want to park, the sleepers arrive around 10 am and then there is no place for anything else.
Arriving early is your best option, go by Uber or walk.
