Hop-on/Hop-off bus in New York – Is it worth it?

It depends.

If you are going to stay in New York for a short time (up to 3 days), I suggest buying the pass from GrayLine New York which has a double-decker bus, with several lines through the main points of the city, with a guide who narrates (in English) throughout the journey and has interesting information about the city.

In addition to being a means of getting around, it gives you the right to up and down at any of the numerous stops (sights) spread over 4 loops (turns).

In my opinion, these buses are very useful in cities where attractions are far from each other or when public transport is confusing or not very good, which is not the case.

As in New York public transportation it is very good and easy to understand, it is only worth spending money on it for those who have little time in the city, as it ends up saving time and getting straight to the point!

Hop-on/hop-off bus in New York – passes

We bought the pass for 3 days with the right to 4 loops (Downtown, Uptown, Night Tour and Brooklyn Loop). What was most worthwhile was the night tour :). Gorgeous!

And we even went to Brooklyn to see the lights of Manhattan!

But stay tuned: he operates from 8 to 16:45 and the night tour starts at 6pm!

Negative point: there wasn't always a place for us to sit on top (where it's open).

Positive point: lots and lots of stops and lots of buses!

If you don't want to buy for 3 days, there are options for 2 or 1 day and also packages with some attractions included or it is still possible to choose only the region you want to use.

You can buy direct from site or on any corner of Times Square will have an agent selling. It can be paid in cash or with a credit card directly with the sellers.

There is another line called CitySights NY with blue buses.

We haven't tested this one, but if you have, Leave your comment for us!
