Morrinhos is surrounded by beautiful hills (canyons) and between the hills the rivers cross: Do Mengue and Rio dos Negros.

Many parts of the river provide wonderful baths, in its crystalline and fresh waters. Over the years, with a lot of rain, the river is transformed, in some places there are wells with a depth of up to 3 meters and perfect for enjoying nature.

Tip: if you have never taken a river bath, the ideal is to have a guide or talk to the owners of the inns, to inform them about how it works and the weather conditions.

On closed days with rain forecast, the ideal is to stay away from the river, as it is dangerous. A flood of water can come down and if you are in the river, some tragedy happens (such as drowning). So, always question the locals, get informed and enjoy paradise!

Is it good to live in Morrinhos?

The population is very calm, everyone knows each other, in addition they have a great charisma and like to help each other.

As it is a smaller municipality, and focused on agriculture and tourism, it is easier to visualize how much the municipality grows each year. For example, in the last 5 years, more than 10 families invested in rural tourism, opened the doors of their properties and are sharing their daily lives, their experiences and their work with tourists from all over Brazil.

Another important point is that it is very safe to live here! 🙂 Once again, as it is a small municipality and everyone knows each other, when someone different appears, residents already communicate and address the reasons that brought that person to the localities.
