Ready to hit the road? There's nothing like an endless road to make you fall in love with traveling all over again. If you've never traveled American roads, take advantage of our tips, there will be nothing like it!
Ready to pack your bags? From the desert to the coast, places with movie sets to those places you dreamed of one day, in the USA it is possible to visit all these places!
Here are the best road trips to do in the United States!
Explore the entire east coast
An East Coast icon, the highway 1 stretches an incredible 2,450 miles from Maine to Florida. You could spend weeks exploring this route. We've already talked about it in other articles and yes, there is no possibility of getting sick of Highway 1.
Spring + Summer in the US
Depending on the time of year, Florida and its tropical climate are a lot of fun. You can start your trip in Miami and head south to explore the Florida Keys.
Rent a car, fill up on MMs and burgers, stop at every beach along the way. Be sure to go snorkeling at John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park.
Or go to Ocala National Forest – Florida, camp and enjoy a day in the middle of the forest.
Fall + Winter in the US
Alternatively, if you're traveling in the fall, a tour further north in New England is a great option.
Get out in New York City, explore Central Park and stroll through the states as the leaves change colors.
It's as magical as it looks!
Who's up for a fall trip to the USA?
Or, if you are going in winter – be prepared for snowy and icy roads.
Several cities are so dreamy when they decorate for the end of year festivities, and this can be a really cool trip to take, enjoying the Christmas atmosphere or just making your snowmen 🙂
The perfect California trip
Ready for a laid-back West Coast adventure? There are few roads on this planet more perfect and beautiful than the Pacific Coast Highway🇧🇷 From my point of view, there is nothing like it.
Check out the museums in Balboa Park and San Diego's many breweries, then head north to LA. Stargazing in Malibu. Explore Solvang and surf at Pismo Beach. Cruise the most beautiful coastline in San Simeon and Big Sur and visit the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk.
Without forgetting for a second the National parks, such as Yosemite!
You could spend weeks exploring San Francisco on your own once you arrive. If you have the time, I suggest exploring Mendocino County and continuing to explore all of the top things to see and do in Northern California.
No matter how long you intend to stay in California, it will always be a short time, because every day you can discover and get to know a new place, or even go back to the same place and dazzle it again.
The final frontier
Looking for something different? Sureal?
Anchorage is the heart of the final frontier. All of Alaska is unlike anywhere you've ever been. Drive the 130-mile ocean path, over the Kenai Peninsula and to the picturesque harbor town of Seward on Resurrection Bay.
The way to take breath along the Seward Highway it is an official All-American road, a designation given only to the country's most magnificent stretches of land.
Oh, and don't worry about the weather! In fact, it gets to 80 degrees in the Alaskan summer, so plan on getting out of the car and walking the pristine stretches of land.
A road trip through the southwest
Completely changing its climate and landscape, imagine entering the desert?! Take a week to discover the “Mighty 5” in Utah, or stretch your adventure to cover more of the Southwest.
If you have time, check out New Mexico.
Travel along historic Route 66
Truly an American icon, Route 66 has it all. This road stretches from Chicago to Santa Monica. The more time you spend on Route 66, the more you'll fall in love with it.
It's really best to plan at least two weeks to travel around Route 66.
Start with a few nights exploring Chicago (or Santa Monica), then set out on the trip of a lifetime through countless roadside attractions.
Check out the world's largest rocking chair and see if you can eat a 71-ounce Texas steak! Be sure to make detours to visit the Petrified Forest and the grand canyon.
south cruise
Explore some of America's oldest states and see the open spaces that inspired a million dreams.
From Nashville to Memphis, across the Mississippi to New Orleans, these are epic and unique scenarios.
Nashville is home to some of the best food and music venues, as well as museums.
Book a trailer for your trip
Ever thought of renting a trailer?
Whether you want to explore the California coast, cruise south, tour the southwest or explore the entire east coast - pack your bags and make yourself at home in an RV!
Traveling in an RV is a cost-effective way to see lots of different places without having to pay high hotel prices. An ideal solution for a family that wants to travel together, or for a couple that wants to spend more time in nature!
Tip: if you don't have a license for a trailer, we already rented a minivan and yes, everything worked out and it was perfect!
