Natural pool in the Ocala National Forest

Ocala National Forest has numerous natural pools or lakes, approximately 500.

However, not everyone is allowed to swim. The most frequented pool is at the beginning of the park, its water is so crystalline that you can see the corals and fish, along with its emerald green color and the water temperature is delicious.

Beforehand, as it is very hot, when you come into contact with the water, it seems that it is super cold, however, once your body gets used to it, you will no longer want to get out of the pool!

In other places, along the river, it is in shades of blue. It looks like a painting, after all it is a natural and surreal painting!

Tip: Take material from diving🇧🇷 The pool is so clean that you will be dazzled looking at the fish and corals. Also, if you have equipment to take pictures and film, leave the water.

We took countless photos and footage, one more beautiful than the other!

Market in Ocala

Ocala National Forest has a market with miscellaneous essentials, in case you forget something.

value is a little more expensive than usual and as the city is far from the park, you will prefer to buy it there.

So before going to the park, make sure you see the last market you're going to. However, if you don't have time, this little market will have all the items for camping, food, sweets, water, firewood and bath items, souvenirs and a variety of other items.

Camping in the Ocala National Forest

The park is very organized!

On arrival you get a place map, with the demarcations of each camping site, bathroom location, trails and some tips.

In the campground there is a barbecue and a table to have your meals, the bathroom is right in the center, everything is well organized.

On this expedition we stayed only one night in the park, but I confess that we wanted to stay longer to explore all the trails.

As there were trails that took hours, we couldn't do those, as we also wanted to enjoy the natural pool and the smaller trails.

In the camping places, there was a giant closed trash can, with guidelines that you should put the trash in an approved bear-proof container 🇧🇷 So that they don't have access and eat leftover food, mess up and dirty the place.

And when the night came, it seemed that the forest was talking, we only heard the noise of animals all night long! We kept one eye open and the other closed, imagining that someone would visit us, but unfortunately no one did. We wanted the bear to visit, but we think the lazy one slept all night lol.
