If you love nature, Torres is surrounded by different scenery and unique landscapes. It's impossible to walk and not stop to take a picture with that selfie.

Below, I will list the places and what is possible to do in each place:

Guarita ParkWhat to do for free in Torres LOL

First, you can start your tour through Guarita State Park, one of the city's postcards.

Opening hours in low season are daily from 8 am to 5:30 pm and in high season from 7 am to 7 pm.

Tip: To enter the car park, a fee is charged at the entrance. However, if you walk in, you don't have to pay anything.

The entrance to the park, to the beach is a 10-minute walk.

In this park you will already do many activities, I will guide you through the image with the appropriate numbers:

  • Go up Morro da Guarita, starting on the E1, using the access stairs. Discover the caves and the little bridge that are on the side of the hill, numbered 20, 21, 22 and 23.

Tip: be careful with the side of the hill, they are beautiful cliffs, but with a risk of death if you get too close, you can feel vertigo and lose your balance. There are signposts, but it's always good to remember!

  • Go all the way down the hill on the E6 with access to Praia da Guarita, through the stairs.

Tip: be careful with all the trails that exist along the hill, there are some that lead to places frequented by surfers and fishermen. I recommend that after going up, make your only descent at point E6.

Now that you've done all this beautiful route! Enjoy Guarita beach! But if you still have a lot of energy, climb the South Tower (number 02). Enjoy the view!

In the park you can also have a picnic under the trees and enjoy the lake with a mate. And walk or bike across the paved part.

Prohibited: Make a bonfire or barbecue.

The lagoon is charming with an incredible story (I will tell it in another post). Going for a walk or riding a bicycle, it will be 2 km of pure beauty and charm.

There are numerous families of tortoises (resembling turtles), lots of fish, with benches all around and a very green lawn to have an even better connection with nature, sitting on the ground.

In addition to being able to cross the bridge that cuts almost in the middle of the lagoon.

Tip: At the end of the afternoon, the view of the sunset is enchanting and depending on the day, you may be presented with balloons coloring the sky and passing over the lagoon.

Praça XV

For those who like excitement, the square has everything! Outdoor presentations, street vendors, artisans selling their work and a pleasant atmosphere to enjoy the night on the benches in the square.

In summer, the city is decorated with Christmas lights and the square is beautiful with the Santa's house.

This beach is a charm, unlike any you've ever known. It is the only beach that has grass and sand. If you don't like being full of sand, you can enjoy the beach from the grass.

It's okay if you're not a “sympathizer” of religions, however, to know this church is to know a little about the city's history.

Known as the Igreja Matriz, built in 1819 and inaugurated on October 24, 1824, it has undergone renovations during these years of its existence but has always maintained its historical details.

Finally, this city is too beautiful and it is possible to do a lot without spending anything, just have a lot of energy! Wake up early to see the sun rise and enjoy the day!
