Praia da Itapeva, also known as Praia de Fora, is located next to Praia da Guarita, and part of it comprises the Itapeva State Park, reserved, with many dunes and an extension of sand of approximately 6 kilometers.
The rest of the beach, which is outside the park, has residential houses and is easily accessible. In the past, Itapeva was much sought after by tourists, as it was possible to enter the beach by car, after the Park was legalized, the passage of cars was prohibited.

Inserted within the Itapeva State Park, Praia de Itapeva is approximately 2 kilometers from the center of Torres via access through the State Park or 13 kilometers through the Estrada do Mar access (leaving the center of Torres).

THE Beach in Itapeva is a neighbor of Beach da Guarita in Torres, on the other side it borders Praia Itapeva Sul.
Why the name Itapeva?
It has this name due to Morro da Itapeva which in Tupi Guarani means “Blatting Stone”.

Praia de Itapeva is a beach with great biodiversity, with Atlantic Forest and in the unit there is a sea of dunes, restinga forest, wetlands, palodosa forest, in addition to a diverse fauna.
So, being inside an APP (Permanent Preservation Area), tourists can enjoy the sea and enjoy a sunny day, during the high season there are lifeguards and food kiosks and umbrellas.

Itapeva State Park
Itapeva State Park is one of the Conservation Units of the Government of the State of Rio Grande do Sul.
Created in 2002 by State Decree n° 42.009, located in the municipality of Torres.
Covering an area of 1,000 ha with Atlantic Forest and in the unit there is a sea of dunes, restinga forest, wetlands, palodosa forest, in addition to a diverse fauna.
The responsibility for the Park is SEMA – Secretariat for the Environment and Infrastructure.

Activities are carried out by Know to Love and Preserve Environmental Education Project, which consists of carrying out educational activities with the teaching network and a trail in the Park. Activities take place from Monday to Friday, with prior scheduling through the contacts listed above.
During the summer season, is developed Summer Project: Education and environmental awareness. The project consists of carrying out the Morro de Itapeva trail, where the visitor receives information about the characteristics of the Conservation Unit, flora and fauna associated with each environment, zoning, management activities. It is possible to carry out the trail through prior scheduling through the contacts listed above.
