If there's an app that we can't live without, it's Travel app: City Maps 2Go, for us it's the best street map app out there!!
City Maps 2Go it's an app for Iphone, Ipad, Ipod and android that contains more than six thousand maps of cities around the world and you can download it in the free version (you can download up to 5 maps) and in the 2Go Pro, paying U$2.99 and having unlimited access to the maps (turns and moves they leave this version free too).
you download the app, choose the maps you want and do the download to use it 100 % offline.
Furthermore, it is integrated into Wikipedia travel guide which gives super tips on the best hotels, restaurants, pharmacies, sights and other tips on the cities, not to mention that it is also possible to filter the travel guide by the location closest to you, that is, finding a pharmacy or restaurant and even a legal store closer is much easier with app.
Another cool feature of City Maps 2Go is that it is integrated into Booking(website that makes hotel reservations) and to search for hotels by travel guide you don't need an internet connection but when booking with booking, yea!
It's a good alternative for those arriving in the city without hotel reservations, it searches for the ones closest to you or in the region you choose and redirects you to make the reservation.
O City Maps 2Go is a perfect street map for those who are walking, it is super accurate tracing the route, in addition to being very easy to use (just mark your location and destination), with a nice design and it really works 100% offline (to download the maps you need a 3g or wifi connection, so download all the maps you will need in advance).
The application is not optimized to work as a GPS in the car but from experience, I say that it has saved us a few times on highways or driving in cities.
