IBGE: drop in spending on tourism

According to the IBGE: drop in spending on tourism is around 11% in the year 2020 to 2021, the equivalent of R$11 million to R$9.8 million.

According to information from ugly IBGE surveys released today.

The pandemic has a strong influence on these numbers, but the lack of money is still one of the points that is most weighing on the choice of Brazilian families.

The number of trips dropped by around 41% when measured nationwide.

What were the most popular destinations?

According to research, 1 out of 5 trips were to São Paulo, in second place Minas Gerais and then Bahia.
