Where is the Serra do Corvo Branco?
It is located between the cities of Urubici and Grão Pará in Santa Catarina, through the SC-370 Highway.
They are approximately 56.5 kilometers road that connects the municipalities, however the landscape that draws the most attention is only 5 kilometers long.
The route has asphalt and dirt road.
Why does the Serra do Corvo Branco have that name?
Residents of the region called it a crow, but the name of the bird that made its nests in the mountains is actually the King vulture.

Mandatory stops in Serra do Corvo Branco

The place inspires peace and tranquility, a small natural pool beneath a waterfall to enjoy the beauty of nature, while at the top of the waterfall is the religious part of the Grotto.
Church Hill
Morro da Igreja is a little piece of paradise, because from the top of its 1822 meters of altitude it is possible to see all the conglomerate of hills and even the coast (if it is a day with a sky without clouds or fog).
To access this hill you must request authorization from ICMBio, as it is a Conservation Area (APP).
From the Church hill it is possible to admire Pedra Furada.
Pedra Furada trail
It is located in a difficult to access area in front of the Church Hill, at the São Joaquim National Park, in Santa Catarina.
It's an activity for adventurers who love a trail! During the route it is possible to admire the beauty of the fauna and flora, as well as having a unique experience.
Pedra Furada is approximately 13 meters high and 6 meters wide. The trail is 8 km long (round trip) and local altitudes vary from 1767m to 1583m. The trail time is around 5 hours (including stops), its level is moderate, so you need to be a little in shape to practice it as the route is through forests, fields, rocks and cliffs.
Tip: Contact a tourism agency to do the trail, this way you will be safe from any unforeseen events, in addition to, of course, the great knowledge they have of the route.
