O ponto de chegada é Ilhéus, depois são mais 40 minutos de viagem, feitos por carro, táxi, ônibus de linha ou van. Itacaré tem  40 quilômetros de litoral, com 15 praias, algumas tão escondidas que nem constam nos mapas.

How to Go to Itacaré – Bahia

Itacaré está localizada na Costa do Cacau, no Estado da Bahia, ao sul de Salvador, 70 km ao norte de Ilhéus.

The closest airport to Itacaré is in Ilhéus (IOS) and is currently served by daily flights from GOL and TAM, originating from São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Belo Horizonte and Salvador. 

Para chegar a Itacaré por via terrestre, o acesso é pela BA-001, a nova estrada de asfalto que liga diretamente Ilhéus a Itacaré, seguindo o litoral.

Travel agencies in Itacaré offer transfer services between Ilhéus and Itacaré. You can also rent a car at the airport in Ilhéus.

When to Go to Itacaré – Bahia

The best time to go to Itacaré is in the summer, from December to February, or from March to May, or from August to November, when prices are lower. From June to July there is a lot of rain.

Where to stay in Itacaré – Bahia

The climate is tropical. Temperatures range from 25OC and 30OC, but can reach 40OC during the summer (from December to February).

Cocoa and genipap liqueurs are another popular souvenir, as are the little bottles with a little devil inside and the caricatures of Jorge Amado characters.

But if you want a chic and very pretty souvenir, take the sculptures from the Cores da Terra atelier, now sold even abroad. They are reproductions of fruits, flowers and vegetables made in ceramic with an exceptional quality.

Tips

· Visit the Serra Grande viewpoint when arriving in Itacaré.

· The Tijuípe waterfall, on the road to Ilhéus, is great for a swim and lunch.

· See the sunset at Praia das Conchas.

·         Dançar forró: na Rua da Orla acontece a maioria dos eventos por lá.
