7 day Orlando itinerary

Here in this post you can follow our 7-day itinerary in Orlando with lots of tips on how to enjoy each day in this enchanted paradise!

On this trip to the United States we only had 7 days to enjoy Orlando🇧🇷 And it was our my first time in Orlando! We wanted to enjoy everything.

7 day Orlando itinerary

Orlando, Florida

So, we made an itinerary where we could get to know Orlando's main attractions and parks in a short period. Without forgetting (of course!) to make some shopping basics (lol).

If you have more time, I suggest leaving a free day between the parks. For example, doing two parks – one day off – two more parks because one park after another is very tiring! But since we had little time, it had to be like this.

First day in orlando

Hotel + Ticket purchases + Outlet purchases

We arrived in Orlando from Milwaukee, upon arriving at the airport, we rent a car🇧🇷 We arrived around noon and went straight to check-in at the hotel. We stayed at the La Quinta Inn Orlando International Drive North. Simple hotel but with a great cost x benefit as we only wanted a place to sleep.

La Quinta Inn Orlando hotel

We buy the park tickets at the hotel – tickets to Univeral Studios (1 day), Islands of Adventure (1 day), Disney´s Magic Kingdom (1 day), Disney's Hollywood Studios + Epcot (1 day) and SeaWorld (1 day). We also took the opportunity to go to Walgreens (a kind of pharmacy and market), which is very close to the hotel, to buy some groceries like water, bread, cheese, juices, etc..

At the end of the day, we went to visit one of Orlando's Outlets – The Premium Outlet International Drive, which was also relatively close to where we were staying.

The outlets usually stay open until 10 pm.

Second day in orlando

universal studios

Universal Studios - Orlando

Tickets in hand, we headed straight to Universal Studios. The park opens at 9am.

We drove and parked in the park's parking lot. We took sandwiches and water in our backpack just in case!

Universal Studios opened in 1990 and has many attractions such as Jaws, Twister, Men In Black, Terminator, The Mummy, The Simpsons, among others.

We stayed until 7 pm and watched the light show that closes the park! We were so tired from the day that we went straight to the hotel and ordered a pizza!

Third day in orlando

Island of Adventure + Hard Rock Café

We woke up early and went straight to Island of Adventure, Universal's second park!

It opened in 1999 and features attractions such as Dueling Dragons, Jurassic Park River Adventure, Popeye & Bluto's Bilge-Rat Barges, The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man, Incredible Hulk and the famous Harry Potter!

Once again we took snacks, water (prices in the parks are a little high) and left the car in the parking lot.

Having a car in Orlando makes traveling a lot easier as the parks are far from each other and sometimes even from the hotel.

We stayed until the park closed (we had a lot of fun!) and had dinner at the Hard Rock Café in Universal's own park.

Fourth day in orlando

Disney's Magic Kingdom + Breakfast with the Pooh's Gang + Dinner with Cinderella

We wanted to do everything we could at the park, including: attend the famous breakfast at the Crystal Palace with the Winnie the Pooh Gang!

The cafe is great and full and the characters participate with the guests the whole time. Great for those with children.

Disney's Magic Kingdom

The Crystal Palace is inside the park Magic Kingdom.

We spent the day at the park and enjoyed everything there was! Pictures with the characters, we bought Minnie's famous ears. It is in this park that you will meet the main characters of Disney stories! And this is where the Cinderella's castle!

At 6 pm, we left the park and went to the grand floridian resort for dinner with Cinderella. Also great for those with kids!

Both breakfast and dinner are required reservations (you can do it at any hotel or online on the Disney World website – always in advance as places are limited).

Then we return to the park and stay until 10 pm for the final show – which is really worth it!

The park is open until 1am. Just to remind you that oo Magic Kingdom is one of the parks and the grand floridian resort is one of the resolts that are within the Disney complex!

To get around better, park your car in one of the parking lots and explore the parks and hotels using the train of the complex.

Fifth day in orlando

Disney's Hollywood Studios + Epcot

We bought the combined pass because we had little time in Orlando and we wanted to know more about these two parks.

Disney's Hollywood Studios

In the morning we stayed at epcot with more futuristic attractions in one part of the park and in another, cultural attractions representing some countries like France, Italy, among others.

In the afternoon we went to hollywood studios🇧🇷 In this are famous attractions such as the Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith, a roller coaster in the dark that reaches very high speeds and the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, a very high elevator with free fall!

At the end of the day, we went to dinner at Hooters near International drive, the main avenue in Orlando (where our hotel was located).

Sixth day in orlando

sea world

Tired but excited, we went to spend the day at sea world.

Sea World is one of the parks that you will have the most contact with Marine life in Orlando. Children will really like it! For adults, there are two super rollercoasters – the Manta and the Kraken.

Antarctica: Empire of the Penguin is also a lot of fun and you can observe the penguins up close!

It is here in this park that you can watch shows with dolphins and sea lions.

We left the park early and went to finish doing our shopping. We had dinner at the Cheesecake Factory in the Mall at Millenia.

Seventh day in orlando

Back home- airport

Our flight would leave at 7 pm at Orlando International Airport. We took the opportunity to wake up a little later because we were very tired!

We went to a few more stores, bought at Ross and other stores with lots of cheap clothes and souvenirs, including Dollar Tree.

We return the car right there and go back to Brazil! We went and came back from United Airlines.

Tips on your trip to Orlando

– Reserve a day between visits to the park to rest and do more peaceful activities! Going to the park every day is very tiring! We had a few days and we did one park after another. This is very tiring!

– Wear sneakers and comfortable clothes to the parks as you will be walking a lot;

– Go to the Market first. It could be the nearest Walgreens or Walmart. Buy water and whatever you find convenient to make snacks– Park tickets can be purchased online, at hotels and parks;

Purchase your tickets on the official Disney website.

This is just a suggested itinerary. You can change it to adapt to your travel days. We only had a few days, but if you have more, take it easy.

There are many things to see in Orlando so I suggest staying longer to enjoy it better. I would be around 10 days (if you could)!

I hope you enjoyed our tips and that we shared our itinerary!
