Casa Grande Hotel: The most traditional in Guarujá – SP

We've been wanting to get to know the Casa Grande Hotel Resort & SPA for a long time, which has been a reference on the south coast of São Paulo for over 40 years. You have no idea how we had a delicious weekend there, the service is very differentiated, the restaurants are of excellent quality, comfort is in every room of the hotel and we can't help but say that we love the colonial style.

Location:

Casa Grande Hotel is located 1 hour from the capital, in the heart of Enseada beach in Guarujá, which is the longest in the region and has 6 km of sand strip. The city attracts all types of audiences, from party-goers (many events take place there, especially in summer) even those who just want to relax.

Hotel and amenities:

The hotel is right on the sand, providing a very pleasant view, especially at breakfast. The list of amenities is extensive, the most striking is its delicious heated pool surrounded by palm trees. Honestly, I don't even want to leave Casa Grande, because of so many cool things they have at their disposal. For sports lovers, there is a multi-sport court and a tennis court, surf lessons, and for those who are focused on the summer, there is a super complete gym overlooking the sea.

It is also suitable for those who go with children, in addition to the pool, there is a playground and a room with toys. You can leave them with the monitors that have a really cool programming for kids.

For those who want to enjoy the day at the beach, they have comfortable loungers with umbrellas and a bar service that offers delicious drinks and snacks.

Within the 40 thousand square meters, there are 5 restaurants and 4 bars, it's time to tell you about our experience during lunch, dinner and breakfast.

Breakfast: To start the day off right, nothing better than a delicious breakfast overlooking the sea. It is very complete, with juices, fruits, various breads, cakes, sweets, cold cuts among other delights, it also has scrambled eggs and tapioca. (we got addicted, we ate several of them hehe) made on time! In addition to everything fresh and tasty, what caught our attention was also the excellent service, note ten!

Restaurants:

Thai – Our choice on Friday night was the Thai restaurant and for sure an excellent choice. The combination of Thai cuisine, the breeze from the balcony and the sea, made us think we were having dinner there in Thailand (not bad right?)

Made me want to try all the dishes on the menu. (we'll have to come back another day), following the chef's suggestion, we ordered the shrimp with mango and curry sauce (the combination was just right) and the shrimp with broccoli and jasmine rice. We nailed the order, they were very tasty, especially the seasonings.

Bistro Saint Malo – We were in France a few times and there we tried a wide variety of dishes, so we decided to have dinner at the French Bistro Saint Malo, which is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm.

In addition to the excellent menu, they have an excellent wine list to make your dinner even more perfect. We are passionate about seafood and this time our choice was the cod shell with prawns and the prawns with herbs sauce, for dessert we opted for the Petit Gateau and Nutella crepe. (oh how delicious)?? We hit the nail on the head, everyone was very well prepared and the service was top notch.

Atlantic – Open every day from 12:00 to 16:00 and from 19:00 to 23:00, it's a very tasty seafood restaurant.

On Saturday

They say that Saturday is feijoada day and that the best combination is listening to a samba (there was the sound of a chorinho)?? It was a great choice, they have all the ingredients separately, with a wide variety of options, they also have fish and a lot of salad. Of course, we had a caipirosca with various fruits to accompany it. (super approved).

On Sunday

We decided to go back to the Atlântico restaurant, but this time to try the delicious paella marinera. Here it is worth using that phrase, “a picture is worth a thousand words”. The ingredients are very fresh and very well prepared, it serves two people easily. nos-na-trip-casa-grande-hotel-resort-restaurante-atlantico2

SPA:

Excellent structure of the Spasissimo Spa which has a heated pool, hydro and sauna. Several massage rooms and a rest area, all very well decorated and cozy. They have more than 20 types of options available for aesthetic, medical and therapeutic treatments. We did the 50 minute relaxing massage and we loved it (almost fell asleep, of course!).

The rooms:

All rooms at Casa Grande Hotel Resort & SPA are equipped with air conditioning, cable TV and free wi-fi and most of them have a private balcony. for children up to two years old, the chalets can accommodate up to 8 people.

We stayed in an apartment for two people and we found it very comfortable, with a super king bed, safe, minibar and well decorated, ideal for relaxing after a day at the beach and pool. (we almost missed breakfast time, that bed was so good ahha).

Our experience at the Casa Grande Hotel Resort & SPA was excellent, we were treated very well at all times and by the entire team (reception, concierge, messengers, restaurant staff, bars and SPA), especially Luiz (attendant in the pool, beach and breakfast) and for THAI restaurant attendant.

We were there in autumn and the weather wasn't that hot like in Guarujá, but even so, it was pleasant, around 23 degrees. Therefore, we want to come back in high season to enjoy all the events that take place in the city and of course the sensational structure they provide to our guests. And if you're wondering, is it worth staying there? The answer is: absolutely.
