We went to meet the brooklyn through one of the GrayLine New York tours. In the late afternoon to enjoy the view of Manhattan during the day, enjoy the sunset and then the beauty of the lights.
If you haven't purchased GrayLine New York tours, you can take the train F at Penn Station.
Along the river there are revitalized areas with playground and parks with wonderful views of Manhattan.
For me (and I think for many people too) the best thing about Brooklyn is enjoying the fantastic view of Manhattan.
