Hurricane alert Ian gaining strength in a storm, leaving residents apprehensive on the coast west of State.
This classification of the hurricane is considered extremely dangerous, with its category 4.
Its speed can reach 155 km/h, which can bring floods and even risk to the lives of residents.
The areas most at risk are between Naples, Tampa and Sarasota. The government advised residents to leave their homes and stay in places in safe conditions, there are around 1.5 million people, who are: mandatory evacuation.
Prior to the storm, airports in St. Pete-Clearwater, Tampa, Southwest Florida and Orlando closed. For its part, Miami International Airport is open but recommends that travelers contact their airline for flight updates, the airport notes that the airport is on tropical storm alert and many flights are canceled.
