Facts about Tallahassee
Tallahassee is a university youth capital, is home to several higher education institutions, such as Florida State University and Florida A&M University. These universities attract students from across the state and from other parts of the country.
Its population according to United States Census Bureau estimates in 2020, was approximately 197,984 inhabitants.
It is the only state capital located in the so-called “Panhandle” of Florida, the westernmost region of the state.
Florida A&M University (FAMU) is home to one of America's most famous college and university music bands, known as “Marching 100”. This band is recognized for its impeccable and accurate performances during American football games.

Tallahassee Automobile Museum
There are more than 160 cars in its collection, a diverse collection, covering different eras and styles. Among the highlights, visitors can see the Snell 1900, one of the oldest gas-burning automobiles ever made, and even a 2010 Camaro customized to resemble a Pontiac Trans Am.
One of the most impressive pieces on display is the hearse from 1860, drawn by horses, which supposedly transported Abraham Lincoln. This historic relic allows visitors to connect with such a significant moment in American history.
The museum's collection also features an impressive selection of vehicles related to the famous superhero Batman. They currently own three Batmobiles, including the original cars used in the films “Batman Returns” and “Batman Forever”, as well as the iconic Batmobile and Batcycle from the TV series. In addition, visitors can also check out the Yellow Duck and the original Batskiboat used in the movie “Batman Returns”.

St. Marks Lighthouse
Meet the beautiful lighthouse, 25 meters high, located within the beautiful nature reserve located 28 km from the center of Tallahassee, easily accessed by paved road and providing a lot of contact with nature, with the local flora and fauna.

Florida State University (FSU)
This university is one of the best in Florida and has a beautiful campus. Take a walk around, appreciate the architecture and feel the vibrant student atmosphere, closely follow what life is like for American students.

The Florida State Capitol is the seat of the Florida state government. It is a historically and politically important place for everyone to know! Situated in the capital, Tallahassee, the Historic Capitol, also known as “Old Capitol”, was built in 1845.
At one point, the building faced the risk of demolition in the late 1970s when a new Capitol building was erected.
