Escape 60 : Rio de Janeiro

escape 60 nos on trip-erica-camargo-viaja

We finally went to see Escape 60 here in Rio and I'll start by saying that the game is super fun and I'm dying to get to know all the rooms now!!

For those who don't understand what I'm talking about, the Escape 60 is a game face-to-face that tests your skills and intelligence, in which you have to decipher riddles, discover clues and solve riddles in an environment of mystery and specially developed to sharpen the Sherlock Holmes that exists in you hahahaha. In all games, participants have up to 60 minutes to solve the puzzles and find the way out.

Here in Rio, there are two units, one in Copacabana and the other in Barra, and there are a total of 11 themed rooms that are super fun and very different from each other. The unit I visited was the one in Copacabana and as soon as I arrived I thought it was super cool because ALL the rooms were occupied and the crowd was excited with their team to play.

Teams are a minimum of 4 people and a maximum of 8 (it has a room that can play up to 16 people!!!)  and it's nice to always arrive about 15 minutes before the scheduled time to receive all the instructions about the game and also about your room.

My first Escape 60 experience was in the living room Uncharted 4 in partnership with the PlayStation… I'm not the most connected person in games in the world, so I had never heard of this game lol but I found the story super engaging and fun. The story goes like this... a former treasure hunter, is doing just fine living his normal life, when his brother (who was supposedly dead) gets in touch and asks him to find a very old pirate artifact. The two brothers travel together to Madagascar in search of this treasure and we are part of the team that will help them find this cursed treasure, for that, we will have only 60 minutes to decipher riddles, discover clues and find gold coins before we are captured by African pirates.

Unfortunately we couldn't find all the clues and we didn't leave the room in the 60 minutes hahahaha but I can say that it was one of the coolest sensory experiences I've ever had, you get completely involved in the game and the last minutes are the most electrifying!!!

I can only say that Escape 60 was much cooler than I imagined and I really want to visit all the other rooms here in Rio, especially the most recent one they launched which is “The Home for Peculiar Children,” inspired by the new movie Tim Burton (which premieres next Friday, 9/30 in the US) And I've already been told that this game is awesome!!!

To schedule your game at Escape 60 just enter the site and choose the room, day, time and number of participants (don't forget that there are at least 4 people) and the value is R$79.00 per person.

Oh, and in addition to Rio de Janeiro there are also Escape 60 in São Paulo, Fortaleza, Belo Horizonte and Curitiba !!
