Parque Lage | Rio de Janeiro

Breakfast takes place on the porch of an early 20th century mansion, which houses the School of Visual Arts.

The house and gardens were designed by the Englishman John Tyndale for a wealthy industrialist from Rio de Janeiro.

In addition to the café and the mansion, trails depart from the park to the top of Corcovado (with a guide, of course).

The place is beautiful, nice to spend time reading a book or just admiring the landscape and waiting for time to pass.

As for the coffee, we didn't find anything exceptional. We expected something more complete and refined, as it is so famous and well recommended.

We asked for a tray. On the tray came a cup of coffee, a glass of juice, two slices of fruit, a muffin and 3 baguettes. Nothing much, really! What surprises is the place and the landscape 😉 A different breakfast!

There are several small tables scattered around the mansion's swimming pool. To be able to occupy one of them, it is essential to arrive before 10:00h. Breakfast is served at Café Du Lage.

At the end, we were looking at the menu and it seemed more interesting to us to order just a breakfast tray and others. loose dishes (here's the tip!).
