10 cheap international destinations for you to travel

Last week I opened a box of questions in @nosnatrip stories to find out from my followers which destinations outside Brazil they visited were the cheapest?!! Among the dozens of answers from different places around the world, I compiled the answers from destinations that appeared the most for you to check out here !!

Even though we can't travel for now, we can at least start dreaming and planning the next international trips, right?!!

Cheap international destinations for you to travel !!

– Hungary / Czech Republic / Slovakia

It is the part of Eastern Europe best known by tourists and very, very cheap !!! The trip between Budapest and Prague is a classic and cannot be missing from your tour of the region! Slovenia is no longer so close to both but it is also worth a visit, the cities are charming.

In fact, the time I got to know this part of eastern Europe I found it to be a very economical trip, even doing everything by car, choosing nice restaurants for dinner and staying in excellent locations, it was a comfortable trip and still spending little! It is in the plans to go back there.

Spring and early autumn are great seasons to visit this region, as winter is very cold!!! I went at the very beginning of autumn, still in September, and I needed to buy warm clothes because the temperature had already dropped a lot compared to the countries in southern Europe where I was coming from.

– Colombia

I still don't know Colombia but I always hear that the cost benefit there is really worth it. San Andres and Bogotá, the capital of the country, were the places that most appeared in the responses but the charming Cartagena was also not left out and even though it is not as cheap as its neighbors it is still a possible trip without hurting your pocket.

Prefer to visit Colombia in the driest months between January and March (up to May is still a good option).

- Argentina

Our brothers couldn't stop showing up here!! Buenos Aires, in addition to being super charming, is also a very economical city (mainly due to the country's weak currency) and also other cities like Mendoza, Salta, Puerto Madryn and Puerto Iguazú.

I love Argentina and whenever I can I visit the country but it's worth keeping an eye on the exchange rate, because its currency is very volatile and the cool thing about planning a trip there is only when the exchange rate is favorable for us!!

Its capital, Buenos Aires, is perfect to visit all year round, both in summer and winter it has its particularities, it is delicious and super different in all seasons.

– Thailand

One of the most popular destinations for Brazilians – and for people all over the world !!! In addition to being very cheap, it is a country with a very rich culture, paradisiacal beaches, beautiful temples, without a doubt, an unforgettable trip that fits in your pocket !!

Thailand left my list of destinations that I dream of visiting years ago, since mass tourism exploded there !!! I still think it's a sensational country and I really want to visit those beaches but, for now, it doesn't have much to do with me !!

The best time to travel to Thailand is between November and March, during the dry season!! Always escape the monsoons !!

– Bosnia and Herzegovina / Serbia / Montenegro / Slovenia

I have no idea why we Brazilians don't explore these countries in the Balkans a lot!! The landscapes are beautiful, incredible beaches, friendly people, super cute and well-preserved cities and… affordable !!! Just like Eastern Europe, the Balkans are also excellent for traveling, enjoying and not going bankrupt !!

I don't put Croatia on the list, despite being part of the same region, the country was incredibly cheap in the past... today, excessive tourism has caused prices to explode, especially in the south of the country. Hvar, for example, is still an economic island if compared its trendy sisters Ibiza, Mykonos and Saint Tropez, but it is far from being a truly economical destination.

– Portugal

Portugal surprised me by appearing several times in the answers!! I think the country has an AMAZING cost-benefit ratio, but I don't think it's that economical. You eat very well, you stay well, public transport is not expensive, you can do a lot on foot in the cities and from north to south there are incredible places like the well-known Porto, Lisbon and Algarve and also the ones not as famous for us as Aveiro, Coimbra, Évora, Guimarães, Óbidos, Cascais and several other interesting cities.

Without a doubt, I would put it on the list of countries with the best cost benefit for people to visit !!

Portugal is interesting all year round but my favorite seasons are spring and autumn !! I love the summer there too, but in beach regions, like the Algarve, for example, it has become unbearably crowded in recent years.

– Cambodia

In recent years, the destination has become popular with Brazilians and in addition to the temples, which are Cambodia's main attraction, the country also has paradisiacal beaches and a very diverse capital!!

Take advantage of Cambodia's good prices and take a trip to its neighbors in Southeast Asia, such as Vietnam, Myanmar and Laos, which are also cheap.

The best time to go to Cambodia is between December and January, which are the dry months but the weather is still cool.

– Bolivia

Bolivia has very nice destinations to visit and cheap ones, even in the Salar de Uyuni you can get good prices if you are not a very demanding traveler. In addition to the Salar, it is still worth visiting the capital, La Paz, Lake Titicaca and Copacabana.

The Salar de Uyuni is nice to visit all year round, because in each season it has a different look, but to visit the mirrored salar you will have to go between February and March.

– Indonesia

Another one of those super interesting destinations with rich culture, beautiful beaches, temples, street markets, volcanoes, gigantic Buddhist monuments and… cheap!!

In addition to the beloved Bali, the dream destination of many, Indonesia also has other places to extend the itinerary such as the Gili Islands, the lizards in Komodo, the volcanoes in Lombok, the markets of Yogyakarta and the obligatory stop to see the biggest Buddha in the world. world in Borobudur.

The best time to visit Bali is during the dry season which runs from May to September.

– Ukraine

From those Eastern European countries that most of us don't even think about knowing but carry the heart of the culture of the entire East, with many stories, architecture, the combination of the new with the old and the icing on the cake... Chernobyl, which in recent times has became a major tourist attraction.

Kiev, its capital is the coolest place to know and enjoy and the trip there is super economical !!

Like other Eastern European countries, I do not suggest visiting Ukraine in winter, in the warmer months between June and September you will be able to enjoy it much more.
