Corumbá I Hydroelectric Power Plant

The Corumbá Power Plant is located on the Corumbá River, about 30 km from Caldas Novas, Goiás. It has 375 MW of installed capacity in three generating units. Started in 1982 by Celg and later transferred to FURNAS, its works were resumed in 1987 after defining the level of the reservoir.

The plant contributes to the South/Southeast/Midwest electrical system through 345 kV transmission lines to the Samambaia substation, in the Federal District.
