Many think that Hawaii is a country, but it is a US state.
Its beautiful islands are formed by an isolated volcanic archipelago in the Central Pacific.
These are breathtaking landscapes, made up of cliffs, waterfalls, tropical forests and beaches with different types of sand, from red, golden, black and even green.
How many islands are in Hawaii?
There are numerous, but there are 8 main ones and 7 of them inhabited.
Between the best known are: Big Island; Maui; Oahu; Kauai; Molokai, Lanai and Niihau.
Hawaii State Parks
Comprised of 50 parks covering approximately 12 hectares that are found on five main islands.
In the parks you can find beautiful landscapes, facilities to enjoy a picnic, camping or places with trails.

Parks- Island of Kaua'i

- Ahukini State Recreational Pier;
- Ha'ena State Park;
- Koke'e State Park:
In this park there are several trails in addition to being possible to camp. The most traveled trails are: Alakai Swamp Trail; Awa'awapuhi Trail; Kawaikoi Stream Trail; Nu'alolo Trail and Pihea Trail.
- Napali Coast State Wilderness Park:
In this there is the Kalalau trail, it is possible to camp, enjoy the beach and historical places.
- Fort Elizabeth Russian State Historic Park;
- Polihale State Park (with camping and beach);
- Waimea Canyon State Park (with trails);
- Waimea State Recreational Pier.
Parks – Island of O'ahu
On this island there are 20 parks, there is a lot to be done.

To access this park it is necessary to make a reservation with 14 days notice.

Parks – Island of Hawaii
On this island you will have access to 14 parks, of which it is possible to camp in 4 of them, have access to the beach in 3 of them and get to know historical sites in 6 parks.
The only park where you can find all three options (camping, beach and historic sites) is the Kīholo State Park Reserve.

Parks – Island of Maui
The Island of Maui is the second largest in Hawaii by square kilometers and the 17th largest island in the US.
However, there are only 8 state parks, but in them you will find waterfalls, volcanoes, craters, parks and many trails.

Parks – Island of Moloka'i
You will know only one State park: Pālāʻau State Park, with camping and historical site to explore.
The island is the fifth largest in Hawaii, with an area of 676 km² and it has Mount Kamakou, considered the highest point on the island with its altitude of 1,512 m.
