Dragão do Mar Art and Culture Center

A modern entertainment complex built to celebrate the talents of the land. The project brings together cinemas, theaters, exhibitions, bars with live music and even a planetarium in the same space.

Beach Park

It is located on Porto das Dunas beach and deserves a day trip. The park opens at 11am and closes at 5pm. The ticket costs R$ 70.00, but be sure to go if you like strong emotions.

cumbuco

It is the most “trendy” beach. It is possible to take trips on a raft, donkey, ATV and, buggy. They are the ones who take tourists to discover the lagoons that exist in the middle of the dunes.

Lagoinha beach

It is 120 kilometers from Fortaleza. Two rounded dunes, one at each corner of the beach, complete a cove with calm waters.

Future beach

Eight kilometers from the center, it is currently the only one where sea bathing is allowed. Even so, it is best known for its crab stalls and forró music.

Morro Branco beach

Praia das Fontes

From the sand walls pure water flows. There you can also visit the Gruta da Mãe d'Água, made famous in Tropicaliente, in 1994. Continuing along the sand, you will discover Barra da Sucatinga, the setting for No Limite, due to this success the beach was renamed Praia dos Anjos.

Jericoacoara

Dominada por uma grande duna em forma de meia lua, a paisagem de “Jeri” é rústica. O vento é constante e o mar hora está perto das dunas, noutra  deixa os barquinhos de pescadores ilhados. A Praia mais bonita da região fica a 30 minutos de buggy, in the Blue and Paraíso lagoons.

How to Go to Fortaleza – Ceará

Fortaleza está 520 km a oeste de Natal, capital do Rio Grande do Norte. A viagem começa por um trecho de 15 km na BR-226, e prossegue por cerca de 340 km na BR-304, passando por cidades potiguares como Riachuelo, Lajes e Angicos. Já no Ceará, a partir de Majorlândia, siga pela CE-040 por mais 130 km, passando por Fortim e Aquiraz, até alcançar o extenso perímetro urbano de Fortaleza.

Quem viaja de carro no sentido oeste-leste, partindo de Jijoca de Jericoacoara, por exemplo, tem uma viagem de cerca de 285 km até Fortaleza.

When to go to Fortaleza – Ceará

The best time to visit Fortaleza is between July and December, when the sun is guaranteed.

The rainy season runs from January to June, with the months between March and May being the wettest.

In July, Fortal takes place – Carnival out of season – which fills the hotels. It is advisable to make reservations in the period.

Transportation from Fortaleza – Ceará

For most visitors, it is more convenient to get around Fortaleza by taxi, both within the city limits and for trips along the coast.
