Hotel in Buzios: La Borie
Imagine paradise… it faces the Geriba Beach, it has a delicious pool (actually two), good accommodation, good service and it even has a French touch… that's the Le Relais La Borie, hotel in Búzios that I had the pleasure of staying at last weekend and I loved it!!!
I had heard very good things about it. hotel La Borie, considered one of the best in the resort, and ideal for a nice rest by the sea but I had not yet had the opportunity to have an experience in it, I took advantage of the fact that it had just been awarded as one of the 25 best hotels in Brazil as Travellers' Choice 2016 of tripadvisor and ran over there to check it out!!
Location:
O Hotel La Borie it's located facing the most popular beach in Búzios, Geribá beach, and it is super next to fishbone, which is the busiest and most disputed square meter on the beach. Therefore, it is perfect for both those who enjoy a busy beach and for those who just want to relax, because in front of the hotel, the strip of sand is super quiet.
Geribá beach begins at the entrance to Búzios and has more than 2km extension, it is one of the most sought after places for accommodation and one of my favorites to stay too!! A llocation is excellent, but whoever stays in Geribá it is necessary to use some transport to get to the center, Rua das Pedras and Orla Bardot. By car, it is about 10 minutes away and I particularly find it much more pleasant to spend the day with this incredible view and take the car to go out to dinner or take a walk along Orla Bardot.
O Hotel La Borie it is 176 km from Rio de Janeiro and 158 km from Niterói.
Hotel and Amenities:
The hotel is practically on the sand and besides being super charming, it has a sophisticated decoration, its external space is very spacious and pleasant and has two pools, being a heated one, sauna, jacuzzi, massage room, beach service with chairs and umbrellas, a French restaurant and private parking.
In addition it has a pool bar serving snacks, drinks, wines, sparkling wines and champagnes it's so cold and it's a perfect combination for a sunny day by the pool.
By the way, whoever follows us on the snapchat @nosnatrip saw that we showed everything about this outdoor area and how delightful it is to spend the day in that gazebo, enjoying the pool with drinks, snacks, go to the beach for a swim and end the day relaxing in the heated pool… best impossible!!
I didn't make an appointment for the massage room (probably because I already felt very relaxed just with this look, lol) but on my next stay there, I really want to check it out, the atmosphere is lovely and very relaxing.
O Breakfast is very well served and this croissantt stole my heart and ended up cheating on my darling from any hotel breakfast (for those who don't know I'm crazy about cheese bread hahaha)?? There are several types of fruits, breads, cold cuts, scrambled eggs and omelets, jams, dulce de leche and a table only with cakes. (I don't eat sweets in the morning but my team, who was with me, assured me that the orange and pineapple cake is divine!!!!!).
Just to make this first moment of the day more pleasant, breakfast is served in front of the pool garden and the beach, and there is also the restaurant, French cuisine, Chez Françoise, commanded by chef Paulo Cezar Cordeiro and very well evaluated in the tripadvisor?? I didn't get to know the à la carte restaurant, but its atmosphere is very romantic, refined and open to non-guests and the mix of French gastronomy with the flavors in Brazilian cuisine are very well appreciated.
In front of the restaurant there is a lounge with another bar and is a pleasant environment for a drink before dinner. In fact, every hotel is full of these cozy environments, every corner you look at has a well-decorated garden, a chair to relax and enjoy the place… all very charming.
the hotel has free wifi (You know I appreciate this a lot, right, lol?!) but it doesn't catch well, actually, neither wifi nor 4g 🙁 it's a good time to make a mini detox of internet hahaha and there is also no room service (I confess I didn't miss it at all).
The rooms:
I stayed in a triple room with direct exit to the pool area and practically in front of the heated pool and I just loved it!! As soon as I got to my room ( in the evening) I imagined that during the day he would be quite noisy because he was next to the restaurant (I was sure I was going to wake up with cups and plates clattering), facing a garden with several tables and chairs and very close to the pool bar… (and look how boring I am with it!!! lol) and in addition to waking up with an incredible view of the sea, I still found it very practical to have a room so close to the leisure area.
There are several rooms with ocean view, partial view or garden view but from what I noticed the only one with a direct exit to the pool area was the one I stayed, well reserved, with a nice private balcony and I highly recommend this room!! (if you follow me there on snap @nosnatrip saw that I showed his view and all the details).
The room I stayed in was spacious, with a King size bed wonderful so comfortable, air conditioning, minibar, cable tv and dvd. The next room was the closet with beach towels, robes, safe and a single bed, plus a full-length mara mirror.
The bathroom, also spacious, had a great shower, hairdryer and amenities. L'Occitane (besides I love the brand, they also hit my favorite fragrance, Verbena).
The room was not luxurious but it was very cozy, clean, with very comfortable pillows and sheets and with a very nice smell!!!!
My experience in Hotel Le Relais La Borie it was incredible, from the attentive service of the staff to the comfort of both the leisure area and the accommodations. It is a typically French hotel that conquers for the details, for the elegance and charm of the place without having to be exactly luxurious.
Without a doubt I would stay at this hotel in Búzios again, and as I already know the city inside out (I've been going to Búzios since I can remember, lol) It's a place that I don't need to visit, that is, there's nothing better at La Borie than spending the day relaxing by the pools, enjoying the beautiful view of the beach and toasting life… that alone will make your vacation or weekend amazing! !
