Because it&#039;s so centralized, it has a more upbeat vibe than the sprawling Strip offers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"O_que_fazer_na_Fremont_Street\"><\/span>What to do on Fremont Street<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>While Old Town Las Vegas is so much more than Fremont Street, this street is the area you&#039;ll be walking in and out of the most. It&#039;s the downtown Las Vegas Strip.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"653\" height=\"395\" src=\"https:\/\/wenttrip.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/downtown_t653.jpg\" alt=\"Fremont Street\" class=\"wp-image-1114\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wenttrip.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/downtown_t653.jpg 653w, https:\/\/wenttrip.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/downtown_t653-300x181.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 653px) 100vw, 653px\" \/><figcaption>Fremont Street<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>We recommend, if you are visiting Las Vegas with children,&nbsp;<strong>take them off Fremont St at night<\/strong>&nbsp;, when Old Las Vegas transforms into world-class madness and gives a true insight into why it&#039;s called Sin City.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the day, they&#039;ll enjoy street performers and live music as you walk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here are some of the attractions on Fremont Street.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Comece_com_um_passeio_a_pe_pelo_centro_de_Vegas\"><\/span>Start with a walking tour of downtown Vegas<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Why not start your things to do in downtown Las Vegas with an overview on a walking tour?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This was the tour that took me out of my mind when I first stepped onto Fremont St:\u00a0<em>\u201cWow, I think we better get out of here. Not sure about this place\u201d<\/em>\u00a0, thinking\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Walking around Vegas is wonderful, during the day it is very hot, after all you are in the middle of the desert. Adventurous, but less tame than throwing yourself from the Stratosphere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Aprecie_o_Fremont_St_Experience_e_os_shows_de_luzes_Viva_Vision\"><\/span>Enjoy the Fremont St Experience and Viva Vision light shows<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Fremont Street Experiences is one of the most popular things to do in downtown Las Vegas and one of the best free things to do in Las Vegas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>It involves a<\/strong>&nbsp;picture of a light show and music (and lots of advertising) on the roof or Viva Vision, the world&#039;s largest video screen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"884\" src=\"https:\/\/wenttrip.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/freemont-street-experience-las-vegas__1350x1165-1024x884.jpg\" alt=\"Fremont St Experience\" class=\"wp-image-1115\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wenttrip.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/freemont-street-experience-las-vegas__1350x1165-1024x884.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/wenttrip.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/freemont-street-experience-las-vegas__1350x1165-300x259.jpg 300w, https:\/\/wenttrip.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/freemont-street-experience-las-vegas__1350x1165-768x663.jpg 768w, https:\/\/wenttrip.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/freemont-street-experience-las-vegas__1350x1165.jpg 1350w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><figcaption>Fremont St Experience<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>They often have live bands playing on one of the three stages on Fremont Street.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The light shows<strong> live vision<\/strong> they last approximately six minutes and take place every hour, usually starting at 6 pm, depending on the season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Encontre_seu_ouro_no_Golden_Nugget_Saloon\"><\/span>Find your gold at the Golden Nugget Saloon<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>It doesn&#039;t get more Old Vegas than the Golden Nugget Saloon. It&#039;s on my list of places to stay in Vegas when we return.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Even if you don&#039;t stay here, it&#039;s an iconic Las Vegas casino to come and play the slot machines or check out the elaborate pool.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Golden Nugget pool has the Tank, a 200,000-gallon aquarium in the middle of that waterslide that runs through it. It&#039;s against the law to use credit cards, so make sure you have enough cash \u2013 or not \u2013 to keep your bank balance safe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While you&#039;re here, be sure to check out the&nbsp;<strong>hand of faith<\/strong>&nbsp;, the largest gold nugget on public display in the world today, weighing in at 61 pounds, 11 ounces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Non-hotel guests can swim in The Tank pool with a day pass which costs $35 per person (children 2 and under stay free). If you want to save money in Las Vegas, maybe looking is better!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Conheca_o_Heart_Attack_Grill\"><\/span>Discover the Heart Attack Grill<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This was the funniest, most bizarre thing we found in Vegas. Heart Attack Grill looks like a regular hamburger milkshake bar until you peek in the windows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Customers are dressed in&nbsp;<strong>hospital gowns drinking intravenous drip wine<\/strong>&nbsp;, syringe injections and eating burgers heart attack style.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"630\" height=\"420\" src=\"https:\/\/wenttrip.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/heart_attack_grill.jpg\" alt=\"Heart Attack Grill\" class=\"wp-image-8912\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wenttrip.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/heart_attack_grill.jpg 630w, https:\/\/wenttrip.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/heart_attack_grill-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 630px) 100vw, 630px\" \/><figcaption>Heart Attack Grill<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>If you accept the challenge to eat the Octuple Bypass Burger \u2013 eight patties topped with forty slices of bacon and enough cheese for a heart attack \u2013 and fail the mission, you are rightfully taken to the spanking platform.&nbsp;<strong>and beaten hard by the waitress<\/strong>&nbsp;!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I&#039;m sure you&#039;ll be begging for it after the first bite of this burger.
