Let&#039;s go?!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">downtown <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>New York grew out of lower Manhattan and today this area is considered the financial heart of the city. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Despite the narrow and dark streets there are many ways to explore Downtown. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Unlike the rest of the island, the streets are confusing \u2013 with curved forks and alleys. Therefore, when visiting, always have a map at hand and your GPS on!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We went during the week because reading some reports we knew that on weekends the region is a little limited because several places close their doors. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"800\" height=\"640\" src=\"https:\/\/wenttrip.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Dicas-de-Nova-York-Federal-Reserve-Bank.jpg\" alt=\"Manhattan Civic Center - bang\" class=\"wp-image-5740\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wenttrip.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Dicas-de-Nova-York-Federal-Reserve-Bank.jpg 800w, https:\/\/wenttrip.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Dicas-de-Nova-York-Federal-Reserve-Bank-300x240.jpg 300w, https:\/\/wenttrip.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Dicas-de-Nova-York-Federal-Reserve-Bank-768x614.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>But during the week the place was full of people, coming and going. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We started the visit at <em><strong>City Hall Park<\/strong><\/em>, where the city hall is (metro lines 4, 5, 6 and R).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>North of the town hall is the <em><strong>Manhattan Civic Center<\/strong><\/em> where are the government agencies. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>THE <em>New York Supreme Court<\/em> is also in this region and is worth a visit! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Afterwards, we returned to <em>City Hall Park<\/em> and we headed towards the south of the island. And to the south is the<a href=\"https:\/\/wenttrip.com.br\/en\/united-states\/nova-york\/new-york-city-visiting-the-9-11-memorial\/\">\u00a09\/11 Memorial.<\/a> And if you feel hungry, you can look for the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/wenttrip.com.br\/en\/united-states\/nova-york\/georges-new-york-new-york\/\">George&#039;s New York\u00a0<\/a>there are 3 blocks from the venue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We returned via Fulton St. and we passed by St. Paul&#039;s Church \u2013 a small church facing the<strong> <em>World Trade Center<\/em> <\/strong>and was used as a base to help people and shelter 9\/11 volunteers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nowadays it has become a kind of museum with tributes to the victims.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/wenttrip.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/NY.jpg\" alt=\" Downtown | New York\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>We followed Nassau St. heading south, passing the <em>Federal Reserve Bank<\/em> (Central bank). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Still walking, we saw one of the most famous streets \u2013 the <em><strong>Wall Street<\/strong><\/em>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" src=\"https:\/\/wenttrip.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Dicas-Nova-York-Wall-Street.jpg\" alt=\" Downtown | New York\" class=\"wp-image-5739\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wenttrip.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Dicas-Nova-York-Wall-Street.jpg 800w, https:\/\/wenttrip.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Dicas-Nova-York-Wall-Street-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/wenttrip.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Dicas-Nova-York-Wall-Street-768x512.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Nearby, at the intersection of Wall St. with Nassau St is the <em><strong>Federal Hall<\/strong><\/em> where George Washington was sworn in as president (inside there is a small museum with free admission that is only open during the week).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/wenttrip.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/cats-2.jpg\" alt=\" Downtown | New York\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>We then proceed to the <strong>Broadway <\/strong>where is the <strong><em>Trinity Church<\/em> <\/strong>(where the first mass after Washington took office was held). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Still on Broadway (towards the<em> Bowling Green Park<\/em>) we find the famous <strong>wall street bull<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Always full of people, the fight was big to get a photo! They say that when a person takes a picture holding the animal&#039;s testicles, the picture becomes an amulet to bring luck and money (hehe).\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Still in this region, well south of Manhattan is the <em>Battery Park<\/em> (where visits to the Statue of Liberty leave).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/wenttrip.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/catss.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Below is the map of the points we mentioned.
